Mrs. Heather Sanchez needs a Living Kidney Donor O-

A Story of Faith, Resilience, & Hope

“With God, all things are possible.”- Heather’s favorite quote.

Heather Sanchez, from Washington, Pennsylvania, is a true example of resilience, faith, and hope. At just 22, Heather was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease (ESRD), a life-altering moment that would define her journey.

For 11 years, she underwent in-center hemodialysis and numerous procedures, eventually receiving a kidney transplant on Valentine’s Day. Though complications during the pandemic led to transplant rejection, Heather has persevered, now managing her health through peritoneal dialysis, dedicating 13 hours a day to treatment while continuing to live fully and purposefully.

At 43, Heather is a proud mother of two Waynesburg Nurses, a devoted wife of 16 years, and a passionate member of the Serenity Farms, Inc. team. Despite the challenges she faces, Heather remains deeply committed to giving back and supporting the community she loves.

Lighting the Way for Others

Heather serves as a cornerstone of The Meeting Room – Suite 206 at Serenity Farms, working alongside her husband, Julio Sanchez, as SF Room Coordinators. Known as the “power couple” of The Meeting Room, Heather and Julio bring endless passion, heart, and hope to every detail of the space.

Heather’s leadership, empathy, and dedication ensure that newcomers safe, welcomed, and supported.

Her work embodies the spirit of recovery, proving that strength and kindness can go hand in hand. Heather’s journey is a testament to courage, faith, and community. Through her perseverance, she inspires everyone at Serenity Farms to embrace hope, give generously, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Even Superhero’s Need Support

Heather needs A Living Kidney Donor O-

Today, Heather is seeking a living kidney donor. As an O-negative blood type, she is a universal donor but can only receive a kidney from another O-negative individual. This is just a testament to her character, always giving more than she receives.

Her desire is simple yet profound: to regain her health, continue being present for her children, witness their milestones, celebrate her 20-year wedding anniversary with her husband, Julio Sanchez, and eventually experience the joy of being a grandparent.

Heather’s journey has been guided by faith, perseverance, and hope. Now, she is reaching out to the world in search of a donor who could help her live the life she dreams of—fully engaged with her family and her community.

Fun Fact: Julio calls The Meeting Room “Julio’s Heaven,” a nod to his wife and the joy the room brings.
